Providence Spring Elementary School located off Providence Road in the South center of Charlotte is rated as one of the top elementary schools in the state of North Carolina. Housing students from K thru 5; there 36 classrooms are equipped with the latest in technology through the strong support of the parents.
The school has been nationally recognized for it's academic achievements over the years. With almost 100% of ALL students reaching their goals in reading, math and science every year for the past five years. The school has been recognized as a School of Excellence for having at least 90% of it's students met or exceed the goals set forth by the Charlotte Mecklenburg School board in areas of science english and math.
The schools does not lack in technology or helping to provide the young minds of today room to grow. Last year (through extensive fundraising) the remaining classrooms were equipped with smart boards. That now made every classroom has a smart board for teaching. In addition the school through it's fundraisers was able to purchase 2 new computers for each classroom. This is a great job by the PTO and shows the support this school receives form the community and families.
In addition to the academic classes, the students are enriched in the arts as well. Te art studio has a kiln for the kids to use, their is a music room, computer lab and enrichment and talent enhancement availble for the students.
The school is also blessed to have many board certified teachers and former winners of teacher of the year honors on staff. This justs adds to the academic excellence you receive from this school.

Why You Should Have A "For Sale" Sign In Your Yard?
I get a lot of different questions asked of me as a Realtor. Today I received one I have not heard before. I had a cleint who did NOT want me to place a sign in the front yard. Now, I know this is the age of the internet; signs are old school and they give the Realtor exposure. Well, yes that is true. But there is much more to a for sale sign if marketed right.
Today the "For Sale" sign placed by a Realtor can be one of the best marketing items the Realtor does. For one, if they place their cell phone number on the sign they are able to receive phone calls from propsective buyers about the property. That prospective buyer could be someone who either does not search for homes online or came across this by driving by. That could aslo be the person or family that purchases the house. I have had it happen to me on one of my listings.
Second, if the Realtor is marketing the home properly then the newest wave of information can be placed on the sign. One is a QR code. This is a web design that allows someone to download an app to their phone and click on the code on the sign and see the complete information for the listing including photos of the house right from their phone.
Third, Realtors are placing 24 hour recorded messages via text right on their signs. This allows consumers to drive by take the phone number and call to receive a recorded message giving them information about the property...
Fourth, Without a for sale sign you are unable to get the buyers that are new to the area and driving around looking at neighborhoods. They are most likely to call and if they like the neighborhood probably buy in there.
With all the benefits to having a sign in the yard; why would you not want it there to help market your home?

Crestdale Crossing Matthews, NC. Market Report March 2011
Tucked away in Matthews, NC. is Crestdale Crossing. A small subdivison made up of 110 homes. A popular spot among young familes this 9 year old subdivison is an affordable place to live within the Matthews school district.
History has shown this community has done well in this down Real Estate market. The numbers below are sales from March 1 to February 28 .
3 years ago there were 12 homes that sold. the average sale price was $127,442. They lasted on the market an average of 35 days.
2 years ago there were 4 homes that sold. The average sale price was $121,875. They were on the market for an average of 23 days.
Last year there were 5 homes that sold. The average sale price was $122,500. They were on the market for an average of 60 days.
Currently there are 2 homes under contract to close in the community and one on the market.
Based on current inventory levels and home sale trends we are at a seller's market in regards to Crestdale Crossing. Six months of inventory tends to be an average market. With only one house on the market we have a three month supply based on last year's sales.
