Yesterday I talked about a few of the events going on in Charlotte in honor of the Fourth of July. If you noticed it was all about family friendly events and free to attend. To continue on that theme I have researched the local towns in the area to see what they have planned to honor our country this Fourth of July 2011. Below is a list of the local town events that are offering festivities and/or fireworks on the Fourth of July:
Matthews, NC. will be holding their annual Fourth of July parade on Saturday July 2, 2011. The festivities begin at 5;30p.m. in front of the library/town hall and kids and adults alike can decorate their bikes or other modes of non motorized transportation and march, walk, or ride down main street Matthews. The parade ends up at amateur park where there will be family fun entertainment and FREE games for the kids and live band.
Mint Hill, NC. will hold their traditional Queen City brass band concert on Sunday July 3, 2011. This is a great mix of amateur and professional musicians playing songs in tribute to America. The concert starts at 7:30p.m. and runs to about 9:00p.m.
annual, NC. will hold their annual events twice on the Fourth of July. Starting at around 10:00a.m. they will have the parade through downtown. Then at night they will have a fun filled family entertainment night with two different bands from 5-9 p.m. followed by fireworks at 9:30p.m.
Indian Trail, NC. will hold their festivities for the Fourth of July at the town center. The festivities start at around 9:30a.m. and end with a parade through part of downtown.....
I hope you have a safe and happy fourth of July.
